The following projects were selected for the grant cycle of April 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017. We are fortunate to have these outstanding community partners working with us toward our mission.

2016-2017 GREATER AMARILLO COMMUNITY-BASED GRANT

The Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation: $100,000

To provide screening mammography and diagnostic breast evaluation for underserved women.

2016-2017 LUBBOCK AREA COMMUNITY-BASED GRANTS

Covenant’s Mobile Mammography & Joe Arrington Comprehensive Breast Center: $26,760

To provide screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, and ultrasounds to under-insured and uninsured patients.

Inside Out Foundation: $6,100

To provide side-effects management for breast cancer clients.

Joe Arrington Cancer Center’s Chorus of Angels: $13,450

To increase access to treatment and support resources such as food, transportation, lodging, medication, lymphedema garments, and wigs.

UMC Foundation’s Celebrate Today: $8,620

To provide continuity of care for women in need by offering supplies, assistance, and specialized services such as lymphedema and compression garments, fuel vouchers, and wigs.

UMC’s Southwest Cancer Center: $9,720

To provide screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, and ultrasounds to under-insured and uninsured patients.

YWCA of Lubbock’s Women’s Health Initiative: $91,722

To provide free education, screening, and diagnostic breast cancer services for the under-insured and uninsured ages 18-64.
