Susan G. Komen West Texas is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front: local grants, research, support, and education. That is possible only because of the thousands of Race for the Cure participants, hundreds of volunteers, dozens of corporate partners, and generous donors in our communities.
Up to 75 percent of donations fund grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically under-served women, as well as breast health education for all. Every penny of the remaining donations supports the Komen National Research and Training Grants Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards, and educational and scientific programs around the world.
